Major — Chismena Vehicle Distribution Centre opened in 2008. The Centre has all necessary facilities to provide a full range of services related to vehicle storage and presale car preparation.
Major — Chismena Vehicle Distribution Centre is located in Volokolamskiy District of Moscow Region, close to Chismena. M9 “Baltiya” motorway (Novorizhskoe Shosse), which has a large traffic capacity, provides free 24/7 access to the centre. You can also access the centre from Volokolamskoe motorway.
The Centre covers an area of 18 hectares and includes:
- a vehicle storage compound for 9500 vehicles;
- a loading and car inspection area that allows to process 32 car carriers at a time;
- an office building;
- a car wash;
- a PDI services centre;
- a parking slot for 50 car carriers (waiting area);
- a canteen and a rest area for drivers;
The Centre has the following facilities to ensure the maximum safety for cars on its territory:
- an electronic access control system;
- a round-the-clock electronic perimeter security system (volumetric and perimeter intrusion detection sensors with an alarm);
- round-the-clock camera surveillance with automatic recording;
- round-the-clock lighting;
- round-the-clock patrol of the territory by a canine team;
Light masts around the centre allow for 24/7 loading/unloading of carriers and ensure that the storage area is sufficiently lit. The Centre has all necessary communication facilities: phone, broadband Internet and a wifi network covering the territory of the centre.
High-tech data collection and processing terminals are used in warehousing operations, which helps to optimize data processing and the record of operations in the warehouse management system.
Construction and commissioning of all objects of the vehicle distribution centre has been split into 3 stages:
The first stage was completed on 1 September 2008, when the Centre accepted the first batch of cars for storage. A storage compound for 4500 cars, an office building, a security system and a car warehouse management system were commissioned.
The second stage was completed in 2009: the storage compound was extended to accommodate 9500 cars; a car wash and a PDI-centre were putting into operation, and a canteen and a rest area for drivers were set up.
